Maths
1. Why do you think Mr Winiata drew a question mark?
A. because it means the other fruits.
2. Each student chose one of the fruits or the ? and drew it on a blank choice
square. Jo collected all these choice squares in a box. The students found
different ways of arranging the choice squares to display the results.
A. they use a graph for the choice square.
3. A. Using Room 8’s five fruit choices and a ?, ask each of your
classmates to draw their favourite fruit on a blank choice square.
B. Use these squares to make a bar graph. What is the most popular
fruit in your class?
A. strawberry
C. Compare your graph with Room 8’s bar graph.
I. What differences can you see in the results for your class and for
Room 8?
A. pie chart.
II. Which would show these differences more clearly: strip graphs

4. The students in Room 8 checked their lunchboxes to see what fruit was in
them. Jo made this graph of the data:
A. There are only 22 students in Room 8, so why does the graph have
29 squares around the outside?
A. just in case that you can ask so many student.
B. Does the graph show that the students in Room 8 get their favourite
fruit for lunch?
A. no.
C. What could you say to Room 8 parents about this data?
A. i would say we work hard for this data.
